Our hand, foot and upper limb service provides a focus for the referral of children from with congenital deformities and other conditions of the hand, foot and upper limb including injury, tumours, nerve palsies etc.

We are a specialist children's multidisciplinary team which constructs on-going, individualized assessment, management and treatment plans including rehabilitation.

We work closely with the several different specialists which are readily available at the hospital such as orthopaedics, anaesthetics, radiology, neurophysiology etc., we are able to assess and offer surgery or other therapies to improve the form and function for the most complex and rare disorders of the upper limb in babies and children from a very early age.

We see children from all over the UK with forearm deformities, effects of obstetric brachial plexus injury, arthrogryposis, cerebral palsy, vascular anomalies of the limbs and rheumatoid wrist problems.

We offer a uniquely holistic approach through our multidisciplinary clinics.
We also support other services within the hospital managing rare hereditary conditions such as epidermolysis bullosa and the mucopolysaccharidoses.
