Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is on the lookout for one new Governor from Birmingham or Solihull and two new Governors from the Black Country, to help shape the future of its two hospitals.

Nominations open today (Monday 20 March) to anyone over the age of 16 who has a vested interest in Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Birmingham Women’s Hospital. The successful candidate will have a say in key Trust decisions, play a role in representing the views of the people of the area they represent and hold the Non-Executive Directors of the Trust to account.

The Council of Governors meets formally four times per year and the successful new recruit will also be expected to attend two meetings every year with the Board of Directors. During these meetings, the Council of Governors discusses the performance and finances of the Trust and its future plans.
