Parents and carers

We aim to make your time with us as stress-free as possible.  You can use this part of the site to find information about where to stay while your child is in our hospital and where you can eat.  If you need to make a complaint or talk to someone about our service, you can do it here.

Read other parents’ stories. Send us your own.

For directions, parking, visiting hours and contact details, go to How to find us.

If you or your child has special needs and require us to provide information in a specific format e.g. braille, large print or an interpreter, please read our information letter for more details on how to arrange for this to happen.

Useful resources

We highly recommend that parents take a look at the handbook produced by Birmingham South Central CCG that lets you know what to do when a child is ill. The handbook will help you to care for your child at home, to know when to call the GP and when to contact the emergency services.

Download the handbook from this page of the Birmingham South Central CCG website.

PALS is the Patient Advice and Liaison Service. It's here to help sort out questions and concerns you may have.
